GET TO KNOW SHANE BOWEN, DDS
Dr. Shane Bowen, although originally from California, grew up in the Houston area. He is recognized for his compassionate nature, extensive experience, and individualized approach to patient care. In 2018, he moved to Denver with his family, but later relocated back to the Houston area. Dr. Bowen is back at Tamborello Dental Associates, where he is dedicated to providing top-notch, empathetic dental care, showcasing his unwavering commitment to the profession.
WHY DID YOU BECOME A DENTIST?
Dr. Shane Bowen is dedicated to delivering conservative, high-quality dental care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. He aims to develop personalized treatment plans that align with each patient’s dental needs and long-term health goals, always with the same care he would give his family.
He is fully dedicated to maintaining and enthusiastic about carrying on the esteemed tradition of Tamborello Dental Associates. Leveraging over five decades of collective expertise, the caring and empathetic group of dentists at Tamborello Dental Associates provides cutting-edge, contemporary care rooted in traditional personalized attention.
WHERE DID YOU STUDY DENTISTRY?
Dr. Bowen obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1997, before pursuing a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2002. Following this, he successfully finished an intensive General Practice Residency (GPR) program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2003. During this specialized training, he focused on various areas, including implant dentistry, IV sedation, wisdom tooth extraction, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canals), and managing patients with complex medical conditions.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bowen has invested hundreds of hours in continuing education, focusing on Orthodontics, particularly Invisalign®, and comprehensive cosmetic treatment. He is actively pursuing Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry and remains engaged in professional development through memberships in:

OUTSIDE OF THE DENTAL OFFICE, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO?
Beyond practicing dentistry, Dr. Bowen is actively searching for a residence in Houston alongside his spouse, Regan, who transitioned from a lawyer to a legal recruiter, and their two children, Brady and Cooper. His interests include golf, long-distance running, and supporting his beloved sports teams. When not at work, he frequently coaches his children’s sports teams and relishes spending quality moments with his loved ones.
