Frequently Asked Questions

Still Have Questions?

If you still have questions please reach out to us and we will be happy to get back in touch with you as quickly as possible.

Q: How do the doctors keep current on dentistry’s techniques, technology, and materials?

A: We seek advanced training opportunities and remain active in local and national dental communities. Check out our dentists’ biographies to learn more about their education and professional memberships.

Q: How do I know when to come in for a checkup?

A: You should schedule a routine hygiene appointment every six months. You will fill out an appointment postcard with your address at your appointment, which we will mail to you a month before your next appointment. You will also receive a text message reminder before your visit.

Q: Do you accept referrals?

A: Of course! We vow to treat your friends and family with the same comfortable, personalized care you receive in our dental office. Thank you for the referral!

Q: Do you accept my Dental insurance plan?

A: We accept most dental insurance plans and help a patient by filing claims from our dental office. However, your insurance is an agreement between you and your provider, so we cannot guarantee what will or will not be covered. If you would like more information, please call us. We’re always happy to help.

Q: What if I have an emergency when the dental office is closed?

A: If you’re a patient of record, call us. As your family dentist, we’ll be here for you when you need us – even if that means after hours. Whether we need to recommend a remedy to get you through the night until the dental office opens, make arrangements to see you after hours, or send you to an emergency room, we’re here for you.

Q: My child has had an accident, and their tooth has been entirely knocked out. What do I do?

A: Retrieve the tooth, being careful not to touch the root, and place it in a glass of milk. Then, call us immediately so we can attempt to re-insert the lost tooth.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We accept cash, checks, credit cards, CareCredit, and LendingClub medical financing.

Q: What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?

A: We undergo annual training to stay current on the latest disinfection and sterilization techniques and procedures. We also exceed OSHA standards. Your safety and peace of mind are essential to us.

Q: I brush every day, but my breath isn’t fresh. Is there anything I can do?

A: Regular flossing and routine oral hygiene visits significantly improve your breath by reducing the number of bacteria in your mouth. Commercially available tongue scrapers also remove odor-causing bacteria from the tongue’s surface. Decay and gum disease can also be significant factors in halitosis. If you have bad breath, please let us know so we can find the source of your problem and recommend an effective solution.

Q: Do I have to floss every day? Is it really that important?

A: Yes, it is! Regular flossing removes food particles and tartar from the gum line, helping to prevent bad breath, sensitive gums, and even gum disease. Flossing is an essential part of your oral hygiene. If you find flossing difficult, we’ll gladly show you some tricks that make daily flossing a cinch!

Q: Are you connected to the City of Houston’s water supply?

A: Since opening this office years ago, our practice has not been connected to the City of Houston’s water supply. We have always used distilled water.
